Operations Business Controller
The Operations Business Controller plays a key role in connecting Business and Operations, driving transparency, cost efficiency, and smart, data-driven decisions. You’ll be part of the Finance team, reporting to the Head of Business Controlling & Planning, and work in close partnership with the COO and the Operations team.
Your focus will be to translate numbers into insights, supporting strategic and operational decisions across Fulfillment, Last Mile, Inbound, Customer Service & Tech. This includes driving performance tracking, identifying improvement opportunities, and enabling NA-KD to scale efficiently and profitably.

You work in a structured and organized way, and you’re confident challenging assumptions and influencing decisions to drive improvement. You have a keen eye for detail, always focused on quality, value creation, and tangible results.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow-up for Operations, ensuring transparency and accountability across all areas.
- Analyze key operational cost drivers (e.g., cost per order, delivery cost, return cost, PSP fees) and turn data into actionable insights. Supporting finance at monthly closings.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that enable smart, data-driven decisions at both strategic and operational levels.
- Partner with the COO and Operations leadership to develop business cases, evaluate investments, and drive cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Monitor and track KPIs, identify trends, and proactively highlight opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Tech, Purchasing and Commercial to ensure financial accuracy and strong alignment with business goals.
Your Past & Your Skills
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years experience in controlling or financial analysis, preferably within e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
- Solid understanding of cost drivers in an operations environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with BI tools is a plus.
