We are looking for an experienced and motivated Online Merchandising Manager that holds a deep understanding of the eCommerce business and that can lead our Online Merchandising Team by combining a strong commercial acumen with great analytical skills and an inspirational leadership.

Online Merchandising Manager

As the Online Merchandising Manager you will work in our Sales Team, reporting to the Head of Sales. This role includes direct managerial responsibility for a team of 4. In addition to managing the team, your role will hold the highest responsibility for optimizing the conversion rate online by analyzing and understanding the customer demand and product supply while maintaining brand appearance and creating a seamless customer experience on site. In this role it is essential that you apply a customer first approach yet recognize the importance of data in your decision making.

You will work closely with the Head of Sales and Sales Team, sharing the responsibility of the P&L as well as supporting the planning and execution of commercial activities to reach organizational goals. Furthermore, you will lead and participate in strategic departmental and cross-departmental projects requiring strong leadership, exceptional communication and collaboration skills as well as a proactive yet hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor the online merchandising team.
• Ensure that all departmental targets are met, focusing on optimizing the CR.
• Support the Head of Sales in the responsibility of the online P&L, ensuring the achievement of annual sales and profit targets, and maintaining a financial accountability for the performance of the online sales.
• Help define, refine and optimize commercial activities to support organizational goals. 
• Leverage data to continuously monitor and improve key business metrics, making data driven decisions to boost overall performance.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle on site, from inception through final sale, ensuring a smooth and effective process for product management, online merchandising and customer engagement.
• Drive the development and execution of technical projects and create an efficient online platform with exceptional customer experience.

Your Past & Your Skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ in eCommerce; experience in Online Merchandising is a plus.
• Proven track record in eCommerce management roles, with leadership skills to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Proven track record of successfully improving key business metrics and delivering against target.
• A strong understanding of visual merchandising and the importance of brand appearance.
• Ability to use data and insight in combination with a commercial perspective to create and inspire innovation and growth.
• Well-structured with the ability to shift from a detailed to holistic perspective.
• Ambitious mindset, yet pragmatic and solution-oriented.
• Leading with positivity and high energy and a natural passion for customer experience.
