At NA-KD, we are dedicated to our customers and their experience, and we are looking for a Senior Garment Technician & Expertise Lead to join our team in Gothenburg. This role is essential for guiding and supporting our team while ensuring the highest quality and fit for our products.
Garment Technician & Expertise Lead
As a Senior Garment Technician & Expertise Lead, you will be the go-to expert for the team, providing guidance and support in all aspects of garment technology and pattern making. You will lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Your expertise will be crucial in measuring and testing our garments, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary support resource for team members, providing assistance and mentorship when needed.
- Lead and guide the team by exemplifying professionalism and collaboration.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate measurements, conducting fitting sessions, collaborating with suppliers, performing risk assessments, prioritizing samples, and ensuring product quality throughout the development process.
- Maintain fit and size grading in alignment with the NA-KD standards.
- Evaluate design quality and fabric materials, providing recommendations for any required modifications or revisions.
- Work within timelines to ensure on-time shipments.
- Maintain positive collaboration and communication both internally and externally.
- Utilize relevant software tools such as Illustrator, CLO, PLM, and Excel.
- Monitor customer returns and contribute to sustainable product development.
- Strive to achieve company goals in your daily work.
Skills & Qualifications
- Formal qualifications, e.g., a degree in pattern design and sewing from a University, YH, or KY
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in leading/mentoring other team members is an advantage.
- Proficiency in CLO software, with experience in utilizing it for garment visualization and pattern making.
- Expertise in pattern making and size grading.
- A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, textiles, and garment construction, along with knowledge of various workmanship techniques, fabrics, and stitching, enabling effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of software applications including Adobe Illustrator, PLM, and Excel.
- Flexibility and a cooperative attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong engagement and a customer-focused mindset.
- Genuine interest in fashion trends and industry developments.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
