Head of Buying

As the Head of Buyer, you will hold a pivotal position, overseeing one of our purchasing units within the esteemed private label fashion department. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial in delivering a profitable assortment that perfectly aligns with our brand DNA. With full accountability for the budget, key performance indicators (KPIs), and the overall performance of the business unit, your impact will be felt across the organization.

Your Future

• Lead and develop a team of buyers and buyer assistants, supporting their growth and success in the department
• Develop a strong and profitable product assortment that aligns with NA-KDs brand identity
• Create buying strategies that meet the company's goals related to cost management, sustainability, and nearshoring projects
• Achieve budget targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for your area of responsibility while aligning with the company's overall objectives
• Analyze sales on a daily, weekly, and overall basis with the responsibility to maximize in-season product performance
• Collaborate with other Heads of Buyers and core functions to enhance departmental processes and workflows across the company
• Foster collaboration between buyers, buyer assistants, designers, and garment technicians to improve product design, pricing, quality, and fit

Your Past & Your Skills

• Proven track record in a similar position within the fashion industry or demonstrated excellent performance in related roles
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Textile Economics or a similar discipline
• Strong skills in analysis and negotiation
• Innovative and solution-oriented mindset, always looking for new and creative ideas
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in work
• Comprehensive understanding and experience in the fashion retail industry
• Ability to work with trends and translate them into successful products that appeal to customers
• Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to take individual responsibility
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changes
• Experience in leading projects in direct collaboration with production factories
• Proficient in both spoken and written English
