Merchandiser is ensuring that an on-time critical path is followed throughout product development and production by working with internally the garment technology, fabric technology, buying teams and externally with the suppliers, providing the necessary information timely to all related parties.

There is a great team of people (local and international) that you will collaborate with in this role, who all share your ambition and help you achieve your goals. You will report to the sourcing director and team up with colleagues in buying, merchandising and quality, in order to decide how to achieve customer centric sourcing together with the suppliers

Your Future

  • Manages product sampling and tracking with a focus on Design and production intent, updates, quality standards, execution and overall consistency and cohesion of information
  • Proactively manage order progress, identify and flag any production issues well in advance to take timely action and to ensure on-time delivery 
  • Negotiate the best delivery dates in line with the purchasing calendar
  • Ensure all samples are provided and approvals are made on planned critical dates
  • Keep an organized record of approvals to ensure that any order can be traced back transparently
  • Monitor supplier capacity on a monthly basis and flag any risks to the right parties
  • Negotiate discounts, delay and fast truck penalties where needed to ensure on time delivery
  • Manage supplier performance through effective monitoring, training and communication
  • Keep in close contact with nominated trim and label sources to achieve on-time deliveries

Your past and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in textile engineering
  • 4-6 years hands-on merchandising experience in manufacturing or sourcing offices across various product types 
  • Problem solving and critical path management
  • Great understanding of product development and costing 
  • Well-organized and strong daily follow up skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, result oriented
  • Customer centric
  • Fluent in Turkish and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office 
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to new priorities as needed
